Our first challenge was to get all our PE equipment and resources through check in at Birmingham Airport and.......as expected the weight was over our additional paid luggage! Alice and I quickly reorganised the bags, returned a few footballs and skipping ropes to the car and continued to our flight. The delayed flight eventually landed in The Gambia and we arrived at the Bakotu Hotel early evening, but too late to meet Massaneh and confirm arrangements for our trip. After transporting all the luggage to our room we ate a quick pizza and gradually began to relax in the glorious warmth of the late evening to consider our options for tomorrow....
