Our main project in The Gambia is teacher training focusing on PHE (Personal Health Education) in the Gambian curriculum. Supported by an MOU with the Permanent Secretary for Education and with assistance from Momodou Jeng the director for Inset Education and Teacher Training for The Gambia, our teacher training programme has been very successful.

Lindsay has produced the HAL education resource drawing on facts from and supporting the following National Government Policies in The Gambia.

Healthy – Supporting The National Nutritional Policy 2010-2020 by providing nutritional education resources and games

Active – Supporting The Education Policy 2016-2030 to promote school sports by providing a physical activity programme and PE equipment

​

Lives – Supporting The Health is Wealth Policy 2012-2020 raising awareness of personal hygiene and healthy habits
